Do you think that movie actors are portrayed differently today than in the 50s or 60s?

I've watched films from the 50's and find that the men are very macho and act tough as well as looking tough. Now when I see movies, all i see is weak men who don't have much calm or composure as guys back then. This is taking actors like Paul Newman and Marlon Brando from the past who did men proud. In films today all I see is gay weak men.
