Does fine need to be posted on speeding ticket?

i got a speeding ticket today for 5 over. The sheriff said i need to go to my city courthouse. He didn't write a fine on the ticket/citation. It was a misdemeanor. Do I have a fine? My record is clean. About how much will the fine be?
