New York Speeding Ticket question?

I recently received a speeding ticket in NY state from a Tioga county sheriff. I plead not guilty and there is a date on the ticket. Is that my court date or does the court issue a new hearing date? I haven't heard anything from the court and I keep calling the clerk but no one ever answers and the voice mail is full. According to the ticket, the date is this coming Monday so I want to know if I have to show up that day.
